England’s leading wine producer, Chapel Down cultivate a range of the highest quality sparkling and still wines. The team were looking for a personalisation campaign that would create a perfect gifting option for any occasion and capture incremental sales throughout the year.
Chapel Down’s mission is to change the way the world thinks about English wine and, as such, wanted to ensure their quality ranges were optimised for gifting across the Christmas, Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day periods.
The end product was to be a bottle of award-winning Chapel Down Brut or Rose sparkling wine with a customisation option that allowed customers to personalise a bottle by adding a special message to the neck label.
We have supported Chapel Down with previous successful campaigns, so were the obvious choice to ensure full end-to-end project management.
We worked closely with the team at Chapel Down to complete an in-depth scoping process to fully understand the work. This involved testing solutions to ensure creative concepts adhered to brand guidelines, to maintain the foil within the packaging design, and the use of a white ink printer.
The final outcome allows the customer to create the personalised message when placing an online order on the Chapel Down website. By integrating Chapel Down’s D2C website with our Order Management System (OMS), we can print the orders on demand, apply the bespoke neck labels to the bottles, pack them in branded wine gift boxes with an optional complimentary gift note, and dispatch it to the customer’s chosen address.
In addition to an increase in incremental sales, Chapel Down have received significant media coverage since the launch of this personalisation campaign. From placements in key gift guides, to mentions in The Sun and on ITV, glowing reviews highlighting Chapel Down wine’s excellence, and recommendations of being the perfect gift.
