The team at Glenfiddich wanted to be able to offer personalised bottles of whisky from a D2C website. We were delighted to support them with a speedy eCommerce personalisation solution in time for Father’s Day purchases!
We worked closely with the William Grant & Sons team to create a D2C site that offers consumers the opportunity to personalise a bottle of Glenfiddich’s iconic collection of 12, 15, 18 and 21 year old single malt Scotch whiskies.
From concept creation and technical integration, to personalisation, print on demand, fulfilment and customer services, we provided Glenfiddich with full end-to-end project management to deliver a seamless eCommerce experience.
We integrated our Order Management System (OMS) with the eCommerce site and created bespoke middleware that allowed us to print the customer’s message onto a Glenfiddich label, apply to one of four SKUs and fulfil to the consumer.
The requirement to build middleware that provided automation for the personalised labels to print demonstrates the technical flexibility that our team can offer.
We were able to meet the needs of the unique commercial model required for this project, and our alcohol license means that we can offer compliant storage in our secure warehouse.
This has to be one of our quickest turnarounds – completed in just 6 weeks!
Released the week before Father’s Day, the site received a high number of orders upon launch and sales continue to stay strong out of peak season. The campaign has exceeded the Glenfiddich team’s expectations who are looking forward to expanding this personalisation offering for the festive period.
