We are thrilled to share that our CEO, Amy Lennox, has been shortlisted as a finalist in the National Business Women’s Awards 2024.

These awards recognise the success of some of the top female business leaders in the UK. We’re delighted to be part of this exciting opportunity to support and share in a vision to raise the profile of industrious, hardworking and enterprising businesswomen nationally.

The awards honour inspiring innovators and visionaries, and finalists possess qualities of vision, innovation, entrepreneurial drive and leadership.  They also demonstrate a commitment to gender diversity.

Having taken on a senior role in the business with no management structure in place, Amy’s shown the team what a real leader is. With her focus on putting our people first, investing in training initiatives and restructuring the team by putting the right people in the right roles, the business is unrecognisable.

Q2 2024 saw the merger of DPS with sister company Intervino, to create IV Creative. Amy led the way with planning and strategy for the rebrand and the integration of the people, technology, and processes of both businesses. Through clear, consistent communication she ensured a smooth transition for everyone.

“Women shouldn’t have to choose between being exceptional mothers and exceptional leaders. We need workplace cultures that are inclusive, understanding, and supportive of the multiple roles women take on in their personal and professional lives.” Amy Lennox, CEO

Gender Diversity in UK Business

According to Finder, less than 1 in 5 UK companies (18%) are led by women in 2024. However, over 150,000 new all-women-led companies were founded in 2022, which is more than any year previously.

Women-owned businesses in the UK contribute billions to the economy every year. By encouraging more women into entrepreneurship, we will unlock massive potential for economic growth, adding new perspectives and innovative solutions across industries. Research consistently shows that diversity at the top leads to better decision-making and improved financial performance. Female-led businesses are helping to build more inclusive workplaces and demonstrate the value of diverse leadership.

Female entrepreneurs are role models for future generations, proving that success in business is achievable for anyone, regardless of gender. When women lead, they pave the way for more women to follow, fostering a more balanced and equitable business ecosystem.

How do IV Creative support its people and promote diversity and inclusion within the workplace?

One of our values is ‘Unity – We excel together as one team’. This also means looking after our people to ensure we have a motivated, engaged, productive and diverse team.

Following the introduction of a new Senior Leadership Team in 2023, we’ve put a huge focus on our people. We recognise those that are going above and beyond, whilst ensuring we have the right people in the right roles. We’ve created development plans and a career structure for all positions and 2023 saw seven internal promotions, including Team Leaders, Warehouse Operatives, Printers and Finishers. We aim to be a good employer who pays its staff well.  All our staff are paid above the National Living Wage.

We’ve increased our training budget by over 50% in the last 12 months. This has allowed all team members to receive manual handling training, core staff have received fire safety training and first aid training along with several of our team receiving forklift safety training.  Where possible we aim to recruit from within.

As a business, we have a passion for diversity and inclusion. Our Senior Leadership Team consists of 50% women, and we have supported team members with a registered disability in their ways of working, for example, remotely. Standardised recruitment practices are in place to ensure fair and consistent advertising, application processes and interviews for all positions across the business.

“My passion is championing women in business. I have mentored and empowered other women in our industry and the business supports a 50% female senior leadership team. IV Creative is a truly unique company – we have propelled ourselves to new heights whilst paving the way for other women in business.” Amy Lennox, CEO
