Our objective
Lady A wine started life as an exclusive edition to the bar at Soho House, a members’ club established over 30 years ago as a physical home for global creatives.
It’s an artfully blended rosé wine from the famous Château la Coste in Provence, with a beautiful bottle featuring a butterfly penned by Damien Hirst. The wine was a such a long-standing hit, that the team at Soho House decided to create a direct-to-consumer model so Lady A could be enjoyed in homes around the world.
But, where to start?
They needed a partner who would help them set up ecommerce operations, and provide a delivery experience as luxury as the wine.
Our approach
We worked with the Lady A and Soho House teams to set up a Shopify back end that spoke to both the shop front and our 100,000sqft warehouse space. Our order management systems were configured to ensure the unique Lady A offering could be catered for – with single SKUs, multiples and boxes of six required for day one of launch.
Our long-established expertise in the alcohol space, especially with high-end and celebrity brands, meant we had the knowledge and network to source and test transit packaging that would be both safe and stylish.
As with many new product launches, speed was crucial; and our onboarding processes are geared up for exactly that.
Project outcome
In the first six months, the brand’s ecommerce presence, supported by us, saw six-figure sales growth – with mammoth, double digit repeat customer rates. Plus, refunds in the first half year ran at only 0.2% of sales due to high quality wine, high customer satisfaction and a high-end delivery experience.
When the range expanded, we were asked to run the delivery operations for the additional brands too.
Lady A and Soho House continue to be close collaborators with IV Creative as we work together to get their delicious wine into the hands of thirsty customers – on time, on budget, and in style.
