Experienced Print Finisher
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual to join a gifting and digital printing company with a reputation for both quality and service. It would appeal to an experienced individual looking to do a variety of tasks within a busy and well-established company.
We currently have a vacancy for a Print Finisher working on our afternoon / evening shift from 2.00pm to 10.00pm to join and strengthen our team. We are seeking someone that is conscientious with excellent finishing skills.
IV Creative is a busy, fast-paced environment, we work hard to achieve tight deadlines and impress customers with our high quality and fast turnarounds. You will manage the operation and maintenance of all finishing machinery, ensuring that products meet the highest standards and that strict quality control procedures are followed throughout. You will be expected to maintain agreed daily targets, ensuring all printed product is dispatched on time and in full. You will be a flexible team player, open-minded, adaptable, and quick to learn new techniques.
We are looking for someone hardworking, who can offer flexibility and commitment. This highly motivated individual will need to display a professional approach to their work and have a genuine ‘can do’ attitude towards their responsibilities. Being part of the team is key with the flexibility to learn more.
The role requires responsibility for running various machines and finishing equipment including:
- Polar guillotines
- Morgana and Moll creasing and folding machines
- Duplo cut and creasing machine
- Horizon booklet maker
The successful candidate will need to have experience in running at least one of these machines, with willingness to train on others. Please only apply if you have the relevant experience.
Role and Responsibilities
- To be able to ‘run’ or ‘assist’ one of the above machines with excellent knowledge of all aspects of printing and finishing
- Efficiently set up machines to maximise uptime
- Complete quality checks on output to ensure product meets all physical and visual requirements and is of a high standard
- Carry out troubleshooting of equipment, making minor adjustments, completing basic repairs along with carrying out routine preventative maintenance
- Complete necessary paperwork and records
- A passion for print finishing with an excellent can-do attitude
- Ability to multi-task and solve problems
- An excellent eye for detail and colour
- A good understanding of all production processes
- Positive attitude towards learning and new equipment
- Being flexible when needed and team orientated
- Great organisational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure and work to tight deadlines
Skills and Competencies
- Experience of working in a Finishing team
- Able to understand and act on verbal or written instructions
- Must be technically and mechanically oriented
- Must enjoy working in a team environment
- Be flexible and able to adapt to a constantly changing environment
- Be able to use their initiative to implement improved working practices
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Able to work extra hours required to meet time sensitive deadlines when necessary
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £25,400.00-£27,000.00 per year
